Fraudulent Payment Prevention


Awayco uses Stripe for payment processing which has an industry leading fraud detection algorithm in-built. Stripe continuously monitors all processed payments to identify fraudulent payments. Read more about Stripe here.

Stripe validates all cards at payment to ensure that details specified by customers are valid. A customer should not be able to make payments with an invalid or fraudulent card. However, as customers are charged 48 hours before the first day of their booking, a reservation booked using a fraudulent card would be cancelled automatically when this payment failed. This failed payment is recorded on the Payments tab in the Admin app.
