Stock Status


Using the Point-of-Sale (PoS) app, you can manage the status and availability of your stock. This article will teach you about:

  • Stock statuses
  • How to change statuses

Stock Status

Each item has a unique asset ID associated with it, representing a single unit of stock, these can be viewed in the PoS app under the Inventory tab. Each item in the inventory has a tag representing its availability and status. These are as follows:

  • In stock: the product is held in the store and is available to be rented by customers.
  • Out of service: the product is not available to be rented to customers. This particular unit will not appear on the web store.
  • Pre-processing: a product has been rented and is being prepared for an upcoming booking.
  • In-use outbound: the product is in transit to a customer.
  • Rented: the product is with the customer during the rental period.
  • Inbound: the product is in transit to the store.
  • Post-processing: the product has been returned to the store and must be processed before it is available for future bookings.

 

Change Status

  1. Navigate to the Inventory tab in the PoS app.
  2. Click on a product to open the item detail page.
  3. Scroll down to the in service toggle.
  4. To change the status, click on the toggle. If available, the toggle will be green and the tag will be 'in stock.' If unavailable, the toggle will be grey and the tag will be 'out of service.
